  • Supportive therapy and psychoeducation about perinatal mental health

FAQ

Common Questions About Perinatal & Postpartum Care

Is it safe to take psychiatric medication while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Many medications are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We review the latest research, discuss risks versus benefits, and work with your OB or pediatrician to make the best decision for you and your baby.
What's the difference between "baby blues" and postpartum depression?
Baby blues affect up to 80% of new mothers, last 1-2 weeks, and involve mild mood swings. Postpartum depression lasts longer (2+ weeks), is more severe, and includes symptoms like hopelessness, loss of interest, and thoughts of harm.
Do you treat postpartum psychosis?
Yes, but it's a psychiatric emergency. If you're having hallucinations or delusions, please go to the ER immediately. We can provide follow-up care after stabilization.
What states do you serve?
We provide telehealth perinatal care to adults in Washington, Arizona, Massachusetts, and Iowa.
